As we come to the close of another year, we would like to reflect upon this past year. The year 2021 was a year of adapting to change. If the year 2020 taught us to be resilient, the year 2021 was all about putting that resilience to work.
We are grateful to continue serving our clients, even if there were some hurdles along the way. We had to be flexible and adapt to sudden changes: translators getting COVID-19 in the middle of a project, shifting deadlines to accommodate for illness, and adapting to clients’ changing needs. Overnight, we had to switch from in-person interpretation to virtual interpretation. Suddenly, the system for in-person interpretation had to be adapted to a virtual setting via Zoom, including for court trials.
The year 2021 took us out of our comfort zones and made us better for it. We learned to do things a new way, without giving up the old. As we look to 2022, we wish all of our clients and translators a healthful and successful year ahead. May 2022 be an even better year!
